Jeffrey Dorsey, HCA-HealthONE CEO
I am extremely pleased to announce that AIRLIFE Denver was selected by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) as ‘Air Medical Program of the Year’. AIRLIFE Denver outshined hundreds of other medical flight programs around the world for this prestigious honor.
The AAMS Air Medical Program of the Year award recognizes an emergency medical program that demonstrates the highest caliber of patient care, management expertise, strong leadership, exceptional customer service, supreme quality and safety, marketing ingenuity, service to the community and commitment to the medical transport community. Several hundred air medical programs worldwide are eligible for the AAMS Program of the Year honor.
AIRLIFE Denver nurses, staff and pilots have met and exceeded those key qualities while serving nearly 50,000 patients and their families over 27 years across the eight-state Rocky Mountain Region. From our investment in safety with night vision goggles, terrain awareness warning systems, and an improved patient loading system; to our bright green color scheme for better visibility in the air and on the ground and our highly-skilled and specialized critical care and emergency nursing teams, AirLife is a much-deserving honoree for Air Medical Program of the Year.
AIRLIFE Denver is the Emergency Medical/Critical Care Transport Service of HealthONE, which provides air and ground critical care transport for both adult and pediatric medical/trauma patients. We announce this honor in conjunction with AAMS today, but HealthONE will continue to recognize the dedicated work of AIRLIFE Denver pilots, crew and administration throughout 2010-2011. I encourage each of you to take great pride in receiving this honor as you, a HealthONE employee, physician or volunteer, too are a part of achieving this honor.
With bases at Swedish, P/SL, Sky Ridge, The Medical Center of Aurora North campus and the Frederick-Firestone fire station and service to hospitals throughout an eight state region, you will undoubtedly see the blue and sonic green flight suits, helicopters, critical care ambulances, Lear jets and the wonderful people that make up AIRLIFE Denver.
Please join me in congratulating the entire 120-member AIRLIFE Denver Team and thank them for all their hard work to receive this honor. You make us all proud.
